The Magic of Growth: A Transparent and Sustainable Planter

Posted By: Equipo CitySens

Let yourself be amazed by the hidden beauty of roots. The CitySens Transparent Planter invites you to rediscover nature from a new perspective, allowing you to observe the full growth of your plants: from the vitality of their leaves to the silent dance of their roots. A unique design that blends craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability to create an object full of life, purpose, and beauty.

Each piece is a tribute to the respect for natural resources, handcrafted from reused glass bottles and biodegradable plant-based materials, with local production on demand in Tarragona. Because we believe in a future where design not only decorates but also inspires change.

See Life from Within: Soil-Free Growing, Pure Transparency

.

The CitySens Transparent Planter uses a soil-free or hydroponic growing system, allowing you to observe every stage of the plant’s growth, both above and below the surface. The roots take center stage, feeding on nutrients dissolved in water, while the recycled and filtered glass protects their delicate ecosystem from ultraviolet light.

Includes high-quality CitySens nutrients for healthy and sustainable cultivation. A unique botanical experience that connects you with nature.

From Forgotten Bottle to Unique Design: Glass with a Story

.

Every planter has a story. Thanks to the collaboration with Juan Righetti and his Upcycling Bottles project, we transform glass bottles collected from bars and restaurants in l'Empordà into exclusive pieces through artisanal processes that preserve the essence of each material.

This approach not only gives new life to objects destined for oblivion but also redefines what we understand as waste, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Responsible Design: 3D Printing and Natural Materials

.

The plant holder is made at the CitySens studio in Tarragona using 3D printing with cutting-edge technology developed in Gipuzkoa. Each holder is printed layer by layer, using a PLA biopolymer mixed with PEFC-certified wood, giving it an organic texture and a natural aroma reminiscent of coffee or damp wood.
