TYPES OF AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION

At CitySens we try to make all products adapt to your needs. We have 3 types of automatic irrigation, so you can choose the option that best suits you:

.

1. Self-watering vertical planter

The vertical planter includes an automatic recircular irrigation system. It is a biometric self-irrigation, that is, it imitates the water cycle in nature. The base of the planter acts as a water tank. A timer-programmed water pump raises the water all the way to the top. Mesh pots are used with filters that let the water run. Thus, the irrigation water goes from pot to pot as if it were a source, watering each plant in its path. The excess water is collected in the tank again and reused in the next irrigation. In this way, more than 50% is saved in water and nutrients.

Automatic recircular irrigation can be programmed using a digital timer or WiFi timer, attending to the needs of each family of plants or space where it is placed. The base of the planter has a capacity of 7 liters, which gives this system of autonomy an autonomy of 30 to 60 days. The CitySens vertical planter includes the special plant nutrients for this recircular irrigation system.

It is an ideal irrigation system for people who want an integrated irrigation solution, very easy to assemble and with a very low dedication. Even if you are a mess with plants, the vertical recirculating planter will help you have plants at home or work without dying.

This automatic irrigation is very well suited to indoor plants. Place the planter in a corner with good light, automatic irrigation and nutrients will ensure that the plants grow beautiful.

2. Irrigation drop by drop

Automatic drip irrigation consists of a tank, a programmer and a circuit of irrigation pipes that are installed through the plants. A dropper is placed on each plant that dispenses water directly to the root zone.

This irrigation system is very versatile, since you can water from one to 12 plants at a time, placed horizontally or vertically.

You can adjust the drip irrigation for all plants from the timer, modifying the watering time and frequency, or you can adjust the irrigation of each plant, slightly opening and closing the valves.

This irrigation was expressly designed for the CitySens plant shelves. The drip irrigation pack includes all the necessary components for its installation. The shelves include holes for the passage of the irrigation pipes and the 7-liter water tank is designed to match the shelf.

When placing plants vertically, as with the CitySens plant rack, we recommend the use of pressure compensated drippers, which dispense the same amount of water regardless of the height of the plant.

It is an ideal irrigation system for people who want a versatile solution, easy to personalize and adapt to different types of plants.

This automatic drip irrigation is excellent for urban gardens, for decorative plants on balconies or for creating authentic jungles with a multitude of indoor plants.

3. Capillary irrigation

The wall planter has a capillary irrigation system. It is a very simple irrigation system: the outer pot acts as a water reservoir and through a cotton string the water constantly moistens the substrate so that the plant always has the water it needs.

It is the ideal solution for individual pots. At CitySens we have applied it to wall pots that we can hang both indoors and outdoors. Through capillary irrigation you can leave the plants well watered during the holidays or not worry about their weekly watering.

The autonomy of the irrigation varies according to the size of the plant, the light and the ambient temperature, so we recommend that the first few weeks take a good look at the needs of the plant to know exactly its needs.

This type of irrigation does not need programming. It is an ideal self-irrigation system for people who want an easy solution to install and with low installation costs.

Capillary irrigation is well suited to indoor plants that need constant humidity levels such as ferns, potos or philodendrons. It is also very well suited for watering aromatic plants with high watering needs such as mint, pennyroyal, basil, and fruit plants such as strawberries and tomatoes.

We would love to know your experience with automatic irrigation.
